Equipment for cement kiln firing
Beginning 2013, Claudius Peters and Thorwesten have been awarded a contract to provide facilities for a lignite project to Holcim, Switzerland. Holcim is the biggest cement producer in Switzerland where it operates three plants.
For their plant in Siggenthal (Aargau), Holcim will use ground lignite dust for the cement kiln firing. Claudius Peters supplies the wagon unloading with a capacity of 150 t/h, the dosing and pneumatic conveying with a capacity of approx. 20 t/h. The direct burner injection is carried out by means of pneumatic conveying with a length of more than 100 m with rotary feeder injection. The innovative concept of only one conveying line to unload three wagons at the same time has a lot of advantages due to the reduced energy consumption regarding the conveying air generation.
The date of commissioning is third quarter 2013. This requires a very tight time schedule of the contractors.
