(57) In a method for processing organic residue-containing dust in a cement production facility, the dust is introduced into the chlorine bypass (12) of the cement production facility, and the introduced dust is brought into contact with kiln exhaust gas which is introduced into the chlorine bypass (12) from a rotary kiln (1) of the cement production facility and which is loaded with kiln dust. The organic residue is combusted in a reaction zone (14) of the chlorine bypass (12) at a temperature of > 580 °C, and the dust downstream of the reaction zone (14) is then cooled and separated from the kiln exhaust gas and discharged out of the chlorine bypass (12).
