New slag mill for Cementownia in Poland
After Poland had opened up its economy almost 20 years ago, the Miebach Group, headquartered in Erwitte/Westphalia and experienced in plant technology and cement production, invested in this works. About 300 staff annually produce about 750 000 t of cement and about 360 000 t of clinker.
The slag ground to 3800 cm²/ g Blaine is intended to be used as an additive to the cement. The ordered vertical mill features a main drive with an output of 1350 kW for a production rate of 46 t/h. Exhaust gases produced by the clinker cooler allow the slag to be dried from 9 % feed moisture down to < 1 % residual moisture while being ground in the mill. The design of the mill also makes it possible to grind as much as 45 t/h of cement (OPC) to a fineness of 3500 cm²/g Blaine. It is planned to set up the mill in an already existing building.
