Vertical roller mill for Cementos Tequendama
Gebr. Pfeiffer, Inc., a subsidiary of Gebr. Pfeiffer SE, with headquarters in Kaiserslautern, Germany, was recently awarded a contract to supply an MPS 140 BK coal mill at Cementos Tequendama S.A. Recent projects at Cementos Tequendama, Cementos San Marcos and other cement plants, have established Gebr. Pfeiffer, Inc. as a key supplier of grinding equipment in the Colombian market.
The Cementos Tequendama cement plant was first operational in 2008 after an initial investment of 150 million US$. The plant is located in the outskirts of Suesca, Cundinamarca, Colombia north of Bogota. Currently, the plant has an annual production capacity of 300000 tonnes.
Installation of the MPS coal mill is part of the plant’s expansion aimed at increasing their overall cement production.
