(57) The present disclosure relates to use of alkoxysilanes or alkoxysiloxanes or compositions containing the same as admixture for mass hydrophobization of cement-based materials. No significant loss of strength of the hardened cement-based materials occurs when using the alkoxysilanes or alkoxysiloxanes or compositions containing the same as admixture for mass hydrophobization of the cement-based materials for excellent water repellency, this is not the case with those conventional alkoxysilanes or alkoxysiloxanes.
