Three conversion projects for Korfez Eng. in Turkey
Korfez Eng. has received an order to convert a cement mill from two grinding chambers to one by means of a new mill shell lining system. The new order is within two years the third major order from a private cement customers north of Istanbul/Turkey. The new mill shell lining, type WAVE 35/55, will be installed in a cement mill with a diameter of 4.4 m. The plate profile leads to an optimal fine grinding in the whole grinding compartment.
In January 2016 Korfez Eng. signed the contract for conversion of two cement mills with one of the largest cement plants in the Istanbul area of Turkey. To increase the cement grinding capacity and to reduce maintenance time and costs, the customer decided for the products of Korfez Eng. and Körfez Döküm Sanayi ve Ticaret A. S. The two existing two chamber cement mills will be modified to mono-chamber mills. Scope of supply is the reconstruction of the complete mill inlet with a new step chute, a new mill shell lining system type WAVE in high chromium alloyed steel casting and a new complete discharge diaphragm. Delivery and installation is planned for April/May 2016.
Korfez Eng. signed another order with one of the leading cement producers in Turkey. Based on many years of good business relationship the customer decided for a new shell lining system of Korfez Eng. The scope of the order is a complete replacement of a wear shell lining for a single-compartment mill Ø 4.0 m and 14.5 m effective grinding length, the mill discharge and complete new manhole covers in modified execution. The complete lining is as a wave profile type: WAVE 35/50 in a highly wear-resistant steel casting with 27 % chromium content. The complete contract scope will be completed and delivered in just 1.5 months.
