New high-precision weighing platforms

Mettler Toledo, of Columbus (Ohio), USA, has added a new family of high-precision weighing platforms to its range of products. The PBK9 and PFK9 platforms provide ultra-high accuracy and reliability even under the most demanding industrial conditions, and are, in addition, so flexible that they can be used in a wide and diverse range of applications. As expected by customers, the new platforms also perform reliably under adverse conditions, and deliver ultra-modern technology for high-precision weighing tasks.

The benefits of the PBK9 and PFK9 weighing platforms include:

Accuracy – these platforms are ideal-ly suitable for all weighing operations in which quality is decisive and tolerances must be as low as possible.

Reliable performance – the platforms inform the operator if recalibration or adjustments become necessary as a result of changed ambient conditions.

Ease of maintenance – simple maintenance is assured, thanks to automatic calibration using a built-in calibration weight and plug-in cable connections.

Versatility – suitable for use in a large range of demanding environments, including extremely dust-exposed worksites and zones which require regular cleaning or are classified as hazardous (Category 3 DIV2).

The PBK9 and PFK9 weighing platforms eliminate almost completely the influence of environmental factors, which may otherwise cause errors, wastage of valuable materials and/or rejected batches. Their modern Monobloc® and filter technology assure ultra-high precision and reliability.

The PBK9 and PFK9 weighing platforms are also excellent stand-alone solutions and are, in addition, optimally suitable as system-components in applications ranging from counting, via mix formulation, up to and including packing. The PBK9 and PFK9 weighing platforms are available in a range of materials, including zinc-plated steel, structural and stainless steel for wet, dusty and harsh environments, and also explosion-endangered zones.

Nine sizes and twelve capacities, extending from 0.6 kg to 3 t, with resolutions ranging up to 750 000 d and/or 30 000 e (suitable for calibration) can be selected. All these platforms can be connected to numerous Mettler Toledo terminals or directly to a control system.
