Modernized Kubria series of cone crushers
The Industrial Solutions business area of thyssenkrupp, a leading supplier of crushing equipment to the minerals, mining and cement industries, has upgraded its series of Kubria cone crushers. The name Kubria G 90 is derived from the size of the machine’s head diameter of 90 cm, and “G” indicates that crushers of this type are typically used for coarse crushing, mainly as secondary crushers. The cone crusher is primarily used for crushing granite, basalt, gneiss and other hard rocks. While the largest cone crushers of this range achieve 900 mtph, the G 90 model on display is equipped with a feed opening of 330 mm and achieves a capacity of up to 320 mtph. Its crushing chamber is designed to ensure maximum throughput capacities and a high crushing ratio.
The crusher head and shaft are mounted in an eccentric bearing and driven by a spiral bevel gear with cyclo-palloid toothing, which permits the transmission of high crushing forces while ensuring a smooth operation. The hydraulic cylinder beneath the machine serves both to adjust the crusher gap and to protect against overloading of the crusher. Together with the robustness of the overall structure, these features give the Kubria G 90 high durability and reliability. As an option, the crusher is available with a time-tested Kubriamatic control system, which monitors crusher-specific operating data such as gap width, output and pressure, as well as temperatures and oil flow.
thyssenkrupp drew upon its decades of experience in cone crusher development and manufacturing to optimize the proven Kubria design and further increase the crushers’ throughput rates. At the same time, certain modules have been standardized, which means that in the future, Kubria cone crushers will be available at significantly lower prices and with shorter delivery times.
