Gypsum calcining mills for Brazil and Kazakhstan
Knauf Engineering GmbH ordered one Pfeiffer MPS 180 GC vertical roll mill each for its Bahia works in Brazil and its Kaptschagaj works in Kazakhstan. Both MPS mills are designed for the simultaneous grinding and calcining of 30 t/h of natural gypsum at a residual crystal water content of about 5–6 % and a product fineness of 1 % residue 0.2 mm. Each order will see Gebr. Pfeiffer SE supply the complete mill with classifier as well as the feed rotary lock.
So far Knauf has ordered a total of 12 Pfeiffer MPS GC mills for the grinding and calcining of gypsum.
