Gypsum calcining mills for Brazil and Kazakhstan

Knauf Engineering GmbH ordered one Pfeiffer MPS 180 GC vertical roll mill each for its ­Bahia works in Brazil and its Kaptschagaj works in ­Kazakhstan. Both MPS mills are designed for the simultaneous grinding and calcining of 30 t/h of natural gypsum at a residual crystal water content of about 5–6 % and a product fineness of 1 % residue 0.2 mm. Each order will see Gebr. Pfeiffer SE supply the complete mill with classifier as well as the feed rotary lock.

So far Knauf has ordered a total of 12 Pfeiffer MPS GC mills for the grinding and calcining of gypsum.
