Gambia has decided for Cemtec

In January 2017, right after the newly elected president of Gambia came to power endorsed with the slogan “Gambia has decided”, Cemtec Cement and Mining Technology and Salam Cement Company signed the contract for engineering and supply of the first cement grinding plant in the country, to be located in Banjul.   

The plant is designed according to the low cost principle with economic steel structure design but with fully reliable cement equipment. The project comprises a Cemtec slide shoe ball mill with a diameter of 3.2 x 9.5 m with a 1250 kW motor in closed circuit with a latest generation separator CTC-045, and is dimensioned for a capacity of 35 t/h of CEM II-32.5.

The plant is foreseen to start production in 2018 and to be a major contribution to the infrastructure development of the area.
