Brauer expands its production capacities
In 2019, Brauer Maschinentechnik AG took possession of several new offices and production halls, thus upping their total floor space to roughly 15000 m2.
The company’s management started planning the project in 2016, as additional space was needed for design, proj-ect planning and administrative work. In order to also create an optimal set of conditions for future investments, the project was widened to include the expansion of production capacities.
The construction phase lasted just over a year, and the new accommodations were occupied in mid-2019. The buildings satisfy all the latest energy-efficiency standards. In addition to an ecologically advantageous greened-up roof, a solar energy system was installed and optimized to suit the company’s own needs. Active ventilation and air-conditioning provide a pleasant working environment, and special importance was attached to good sound insulation and room acoustics.
Even though the last few rooms were not ready for occupancy until mid-year, the first few industrial gearboxes were already passing through the new hall doors in March.
Company management, which has been closely accompanying the project’s progress and ongoing construction, is particularly pleased that the intensive extra workload has not interfered at all with unrestricted processing of the customers’ wishes. Last year, gearboxes of all sizes were repaired, drives optimized and special gearboxes designed. Fifty-five employees processed more than 700 gearboxes stemming from all branches of industry.
For years to come, the company’s employees and management are looking forward to sustaining these positive developments while meeting new challenges with regard to everything from preventive maintenance and gearbox inspections to the engineering of technical solutions for customers’ own particular drive-train requirements.
