New slag cement grinding plant for CIMAR
On 08.05.2012, Fives FCB was awarded a contract by CIMAR, a joint-venture company between the Queiroz Galvao & Cornelio Brennand groups, for the supply of a new slag cement grinding plant located in Sao Luis, state of Maranhão, in Brazil. This order concerns the supply of process equipment of the grinding plant and includes a Fives FCB ball mill with two compartments fitted with predrying chamber (installed power 3400 kW), a third generation Fives FCB TSV™ classifier 3200 HF and a SONAIR type Fives FCB process filter (2000 m²). These facilities will produce 80 t/h of CEM II-E (cement with 30 % slag) at 3800 Blaine. After the contract signed with Holcim (Brasil) SA for the construction of a new 4500 t/d production line for its cement plant in Barroso, state of Minas Gerais (Brazil), this order confirms the ability of Fives FCB to meet the growing Brazilian cement market.
