The International Cement Microscopy Association (ICMA) is holding its 33rd annual conference in San Francisco, California/USA on April 17th to the 20th at the Omni San Francisco Hotel. The conference features presentations from cement and concrete chemists, petrographers, scientists, engineers, operators, and managers from industrial, academic, consulting, and governmental institutions throughout the world. The presentation topics focus on the microstructure of cement, clinker, concrete, and other building materials and their interactions with admixtures and the environment, as well as production and quality control issues and technological advances in the industry. There will be a panel discussion on the latest advances in “Carbon Sequestering Cements”. Several vendors linked with the industry will also be present to showcase the latest instrumentation, equipment, and consumables available.
