CEMBUREAU statement on the COP15 conference
“We, as both industry and citizens, are disappointed that the Copenhagen Climate Change conference failed to establish comparable binding emissions targets and to create a level playing field at international level. It appears that we are far from developing a system that would be both effective and promote fairness in international trade. This should be heeded by the EU in its unilateral demonstration of will to act. Under the present circumstances, there is no rational that would justify moving the target of –20 % in 2020 to –30 %.
