(57) The invention relates to a device and a method for high-temperature applications in metallurgy, in the chemical industry and in the cement industry. A description is given of the combination of an electric heating element (2) with a microwave plasma torch (3) for gently heating up the surfaces with cladding (4), so as to prevent cracks.
