Royal White Cement joins the World Cement Association
The World Cement Association has announced that Royal White Cement, one of America’s most influential white cement companies, is the latest addition to its international membership, now spanning 38 countries. Royal White Cement joins as a Corporate Member.
“We are delighted to welcome this US-based member to our expanding global network,” said Norman Greig, Secretary General of the World Cement Association. “The United States is the world’s third biggest cement producer and we are looking forward to working together with such an important local player to promote and strengthen the goals of the global cement industry.”
Royal White Cement was established in 1999. The Houston-based firm has an annual capacity of 500000 t and supplies white cement to customers throughout the United States from its seven locations. White cement can be used instead of grey cement for its heat-reflecting properties, which is especially important in countries with hot climates.
“As the international cement market continues to evolve, with emerging markets in particular becoming more influential in the global ecosystem, there is a clear need for a worldwide organisation to represent the sector as a whole and bring together players from all across the globe,” says Marcel Fadi, CEO and President of Royal White Cement.
