Technical Seminar 2012 in Dusseldorf
Six lecturers presented an up-to-date overview on grinding technologies. Two presentations were held by specialists from the VDZ (the German Cement Works Association): Philipp Fleiger gave an overview on advanced grinding technologies and compared different grinding systems. Dr Klaus Eichas talked about the optimisation of existing grinding plants.
After the lunch break, Dr Winfried Ruhkamp, Process Technology department at LOG, started the afternoon session which concentrated on Loesche technology. He explained the function of a vertical roller mill and its dimensioning.
In the following, Christian Ruthenberg, technical trainer at LOG and co-organiser of this seminar, spoke about the processing and operating of a Loesche mill. Every participant will always remember his “drinking straw”-explanation when it comes to mill differential pressures.
A presentation on the hydropneumatic spring system in a Loesche mill was held by Dirk Grube, design department at LOG.
The event was rounded off with a lecture given by Stefan Frankemölle (Procurement department at LOG) on gear boxes and its performance categories and designs respectively its monitoring.
The Technical Seminar offered a great opportunity to join a network of experts, to foster the personal knowledge and to establish interesting contacts within the cement industry. The planning for next year‘s Technical Seminar has already started.
