Recent DAL Machinery & Design projects
For the Briska Cement plant, Algeria, LafargeHolcim contacted DAL Machinery & Design (DMD) to fabricate four vertical cement mill roller tyres with a size of ø 2500 x 710 mm. Due to DMD’s casting methodology, the cement mill roller tyres were able to be delivered in a very reliable quality and with a shortest delivery time of less than eight weeks. After this successful delivery, DMD was contacted once again for the supply of two coal mill roller tyres with a size of ø 2120 x 800 mm, the shipment took place at the end of May 2019.
DMD was awarded the supply of two big kiln shells for one of the two LafargeHolcim’s cement plants, Bazian Cement located in Sulaimani, Iraqi Federal Region of Kurdistan. The kiln shells were manufactured with a diameter of 5.2 m. Delivery was made at the beginning of March.
One of the biggest cement producers in Turkey, the Oyak Group, has selected DMD for the supply of a hydraulic thrust roller for its Bolu cement plant. The hydraulic thrust device was designed to take up the full axial load of the kiln, so skewing of the support rollers is not needed. The result was smooth operation with improved lifetime for rolling components. The size of the hydraulic thrust device was ø 1500 x 228 mm. The delivery was made in April.
Dal Machinery was awarded for the manufacture of a kiln shell for LafargeHolcim’s Ciment Oggaz, Algeria, with an inside diameter of 5000 mm. The shell was manufactured from a single part and with one single welding in the axial direction. The kiln shell was delivered in September.
