Comprehensive logistics solution for HeidelbergCement
Schenck Process has equipped another HeidelbergCement plant with its LOGiQ® automated logistics solution. The plant, which went into operation in June 2012, is located in Tula/Russia, around 150 km south of Moscow. The particular challenges presented by the project were the aims of achieving the highest level of automation and avoiding manipulations. For this, Schenck Process delivered a fully-tailored solution for the specific needs of the customer that provides complete process documentation.
The intelligent LOGiQ® logistics solution precisely measures incoming and outgoing goods. Calibrateable road vehicle weighbridges allow incoming and outgoing vehicles to be precisely weighed. Additional ultrasonic sensors and barriers ensure the position of trucks on the weighbridge without supervision (24/7). Goods entering and leaving the plant by train are dynamically weighed while trains are in motion using a MULTIRAIL® track scale.
In addition to the weighbridge and track scale, the logistics solution includes loading bays for lorries, loading terminals for bulk- and bag material, DISOMAT® weigh and measurement electronics, static track scales for the loading of wagons, con-tactless ID cards and the appropriate read and write systems for the dispatch area, plus the matching LOGiQ® logistics software.
Meanwhile Schenck Process has received another order from HeidelbergCement relating to a LOGiQ® system at a cement plant in Kazakhstan.
