Complete scraper replacement
Replacing scrapers on a conveyor belt system is almost always a lengthy process for any company. In the case of the Hohenlimburger Kalkwerke, a lime plant in Germany, the whole process took almost two years.
Following his studies, Dipl.-Ing. Ulrich Kolhagen, a mining engineer, started work in an ore mine and since 1989, he has been proclaiming “I’m a quarry man”. The 58-year old is operations manager at Hohenlimburger Kalkwerke, where Devonian hard limestone is quarried and processed. The plant is one of the few in Germany that washes its material, putting high demands on the conveyor belt systems.
