4th Weimar Gypsum Conference
The 4th Weimar Gypsum Conference will take place in Weimar from 01.04.-02.04.2020. The conference will be organized by the chair of “Building Materials” of the F.A. Finger Institute for Building MaterialScience of the Weimar Bauhaus University and by the Bauhaus Academy of Professional Development. The 4th edition will be held in cooperation with the Federal Association of the Gypsum Industry, Eurogypsum – the European Manufacturers Association for Plaster and Plasterboard Products as well as the Association of the Gypsum Industry of Russia.
This gypsum conference is intended to create a forum for a wide exchange of ideas in the field of calcium sulphate binders and their application. The program of lectures covers the following selected topics:
Binders and materials based on calcium sulphate
Calcium sulfate-containing binders or systems
Hydration and processing
Additives and their effect
Products based on calcium sulphate and their long-term use
Calcium sulphates and preservation of monuments
Calcium sulphates in the cement industry
Further applications of calcium sulphates
With these conference topics the organizers want to address both research experts and those working in practice. The experts are also asked to report on the experience gained. The lectures will be given in German, English or Russian. A translation service will be available.
