Fly ash terminal for Moerdijk
Vliegasunie placed an order for a fly ash terminal with Claudius Peters at the beginning of 2011. A milestone was the visit to the Claudius Peters Technical Centre where a full scale silo section can be seen under operating conditions. Different fly ash types will be discharged from ships and stored in a Claudius Peters multicell silo, diameter 19.5 m, with 6 cells each 1670 m³ (total 10000 m³). With a high-capacity continuous mixer of 150 t/h a fly ash mix will be produced which is within the quality limits for sale to different kinds of customers, e.g. cement plants. The start-up of the plant is scheduled for the beginning of 2013.
