Identifying criteria for social responsibility

The standard ISO 26000, a guide for social responsibility, published by the International Organization for Standardization ISO on 01.11.2010 is the first instruction that enables organizations all over the world to identify and prioritize systematically their social responsibility. The guide addresses companies but also non-governmental organisations or public facilities that are interested in complying with internationally accepted criteria as regards social responsibility. ISO 26000 will become part of the national German standards and will be available as DIN ISO 26000 in German at the publishing house Beuth from January 2011.
