Raw and coal mills for Vietnam and Syria
In August 2010, Hefei Cement Design & Research Institute (HCDRI) owned by the Chinese CNBM Group concluded a contract with Gebr. Pfeiffer AG to supply two vertical roller mills which will be erected at the new 5000-t/d greenfield cement plant belonging to the Vietnam Construction Materials Co., Ltd (VCM) located in the province of Quang Binh, about 220 km north of the old imperial city of Hue. HCDRI will act as general contractor for the installation of the whole facility. The MPS 5000 B raw mill will have a capacity of 400 t/h at a product fineness of 12% R 0.090 mm. The MPS 3350 BK coal mill completing the supply is designed for a capacity of 35 t/h at a product fineness of 3 % R 0.090 mm. Apart from the core components of the grinding plants, Gebr. Pfeiffer AG will supply workshop drawings to enable mill components to be manufactured locally and will supervise their manufacture in Chinese workshops. Moreover, erection and commissioning will be supervised by Pfeiffer staff on the Vietnamese jobsite. The mills are scheduled for delivery in the 3rd quarter of 2011.
Ankara-based Güris¸ I·ns¸aat ve Mühendislik A. S¸., Turkey, ordered a raw mill from Gebr. Pfeiffer AG, which will be set up at the new Al Raqqah cement plant in Syria. The MPS 4250 B roller mill featuring a 2000-kW drive is designed to grind 350 t/h of raw meal to a fineness of 12 % R 90 microns. Gebr. Pfeiffer AG are pleased to have received this contract especially because it will be the first vertical roller mill to be installed in Syria.
