“From bulk solids to the silo”
The university course “From bulk solids to the silo” will take place in Brunswick/Germany from 21.–22.02.2011. The main topics will focus on silos, i.e. from the characterization of bulk solids via the process-engineering design of the silo up to the silo statics. When discharging powders and bulk solids from silos, feed hoppers, containers etc. major problems may occur, e.g. flow failures, segregation, vibrations or discontinuous flows (flushing).
