(57) The invention relates to a process for manufacturing clinker and Portland cement by using non-recyclable white/coloured glass waste from glass industry, in the raw mixture, as an alternative raw material, the use of glass waste in the recipe for preparing the clinker having as effect the reduction of the heat for the clinker formation and the reduction of CO2 emissions associated with this process. According to the invention, the process consists in simultaneously grinding, in a tubular ball mill, a mixture consisting of the following quantities of materials: 74.5...79.9% limestone, 13.45...19.4% clay/marl, 0.78...1% pyrite ash, 5.28...5.59% white/coloured glass waste, up to a fineness of approx. 12% on the 90 μm sieve, the percentage being expressed by mass, then this mixture being clinkered at a temperature of 1430 °C while maintaining this plateau level for 30 minutes and sudden cooling in air, after which the resulting clinker is ground together with a quantity of 5% gypsum until a fineness of approx. 1% residue on the sieve with meshes of 90 μm is achieved, the so-obtained Portland cement exhibiting a setting start in minimum 60 minutes, a stability of a maximum of 10 mm and a mechanical resistance to compression of a minimum of 20 MPa after two days and minimum 42.5 MPa after 28 days.
