(57) A rotary lime kiln (1) comprising a tubular lime kiln body (2) having a first end (3) comprising a burner (5) and a second el end (4) adapted to receive lime to be burnt in the rotary lime kiln (1). A boost gas injector (20, 20a, 20b) is arranged below the burner 0 (5), at a lower part (7) of the lime kiln (1). A method for controlling flame stability in a rotary lime kiln (1) is also disclosed.
