Joao Paulo Pereira da Silva: New CEO at Kirchdorf cement plant
Significant change of direction at the Kirchdorfer Group: Joao Paulo Pereira da Silva took over the management of the Kirchdorfer cement plant and the management of the cement division within the Group in January 2025. He succeeds Erich Frommwald, who stepped down from these positions after more than 21 years.
Pereira (54), a qualified mechanical engineer with an MBA, has more than 25 years of international management experience in the cement industry. His career includes management positions at Lafarge and Holcim in countries such as Brazil, France and Austria. “Our challenge will be to intelligently combine tradition and innovation. Our vertical integration and sustainability are our key priorities,” explains Pereira.
Born in Brazil, he has been with the Kirchdorfer Group since October 2022. During this time, he has already worked intensively on the further development of Kirchdorfer‘s sustainability strategy and the Road & Traffic division. He is also head of the Construction Minerals division.
With an annual capacity of 500000 t of cement and 140 employees, the the Kirchdorfer cement plant, founded in 1888, stands for environmentally friendly production and the development of ecological products.
Frommwald will devote more time to the overall management of the Kirchdorfer Group in future.
