HeidelbergCement in Germany becomes Heidelberg Materials

What was already announced at Group level last September is now being implemented in the home country of Germany. “Heidelberg” continues to stand for continuity and market leadership. “Materials” replaces “Cement” and embodies an innovative portfolio of sustainable and intelligent building materials as well as digital solutions.

“We are proud of our cement business – at the same time, our products, our materials are becoming more diverse and our range of services thus goes beyond cement,” says Christian Knell, Spokesman of the Management Board Germany. “Every tradition needs a future. Ours is sustainable and digital. With the new brand, we are therefore underlining our pioneering role on the path to CO2 neutrality and digitalization in the building materials industry. We are continuing to drive forward the sustainable and digital transformation in our industry – for the benefit of our customers, our employees and society.”

In addition to the cement division, the subsidiaries Heidelberger Beton, Heidelberger Sand und Kies, and Heidelberger Betonelemente will also operate under Heidelberg Materials in the future.
