Wonder Cement orders further MPS mills from GPSE
Another order was received by Gebr. Pfeiffer SE from Kaisers-lautern/Germany for the supply of raw meal and coal mills to India. Active in the lime and cement industries, Wonder Cement Ltd. of Udaipur is planning to extend its cement works in Tehsil Nimbahera in the Chittorgarh district. A rotary kiln with a daily capacity of an approximate 8500 t is going to be supplied by the raw mill and coal mill ordered.
The MPS 5600 B to be installed for the production of 605 t/h of raw meal with a fineness of 1.5 % residue on the 212 µm sieve will be equipped with a 5600 kW drive.
Wonder Cement will use pulverized pet coke for kiln firing. This fuel will be produced on an MPS 3070 BK with a capacity of 40 t/h with a product fineness of 2 % residue on the 90 µm sieve. Thanks to the mill being equipped with an SLS-BK high efficiency classifier of the newest generation, both coal and lignite can be ground and dried with process gases in the mill and classified in the integrated classifier. Due to the high abrasiveness of Indian coal, the mill will be equipped with an adapted wear protection.
As is the case with most deliveries to the Indian cement industry and also to the Indian steel industry (grinding plants for coal injection into blast-furnace kilns), the engineering team of Gebr. Pfeiffer (India) Pvt. Ltd. in Noida will do the planning work for the grinding plants including among others general arrangement drawings, specifications of components to be provided by the customer, and later on support during erection and commissioning of the mills.
