Welcome to ibausil, the 20th International Conference on Building Materials in Weimar
For the 20th time now, both researchers and engineers working in the industry will be meeting up in Weimar for the ibausil.
Focus of this year’s conference is again traditionally the presentation of findings from basic research and discussion of how these findings can be implemented in practice. At the same time, it is important to point out new development trends and future work focuses. Another objective of our conference is to facilitate the transition of findings from university research for use in the construction industry. You can find out about the comprehensive conference programme on our internet page https://www.uni-weimar.de/de/bauingenieurwesen/institute/fib/ibausil. Of course, a large number of the papers will be simultaneously translated for the international audience (German/English).
The increasing importance of sustainable construction is one of the important socio-political tasks of our time. For this reason, it is only logical that this anniversary conference is so highly valued by Bodo Ramelow, Minister President of the Free State of Thuringia, who will be attending the opening event.
In the course of the conference, there will be ample opportunity for stimulating discussions and the exchange of ideas between the developers, manufacturers and users of building materials. Development trends and, accordingly, future work focuses will be pointed out, and consequently, the implementation of research findings in practice accelerated. In particular, topics addressed will include the manufacture and application of energy-efficient building materials as well as approaches for using recycled materials. Our conference is therefore not only significant for the manufacturers of building materials, but also for plant engineering companies and building contractors.
Registration is possible up until the start of the conference at the above-mentioned internet page!
I am looking forward to your visit
Yours
