Tamer Saka becomes new President of
Turkish Cement Manufacturers’ Association
Dr. Tamer Saka, the Sabancı Holding Cement Group President, was elected as the Chairman of the Board, which was vacated by Nihat Özdemir who undertook the assignment as President of the Turkish Football Federation, at the Board Meeting of the Turkish Cement Manufacturers’ Association, held on 04.07.2019.
Being TÇMB’s 23rd President, Tamer Saka has been in charge as the Sabancı Holding Cement Group President since April 2018.
Having completed his degrees of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate at the School of Management of Istanbul University, Tamer Saka acted as the Director and Senior Director responsible for Risk Management Consultancy Services at Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young, respectively. He joined the Sabancı Holding as the Risk Management Director in 2004. Between the years of 2010 and 2011, he took office as the Managing Director responsible for the Business Development Operations of 20 countries that also includes Turkey, in Willis London. Staring his Kibar Holding career as the Strategy and Business Development Coordinator in December 2011, Tamer Saka was in charge as the CEO in the same company between the years of 2014 and 2018. He is still acting as the Sabancı Holding Cement Group President, the duty he undertook on 02.04.2018.
