Selling first mills to Dangote Cement

For its new location in Okpella, Edo State/Nigeria, Dangote Cement PLC has ordered an MVR 6000 R-4 for raw material grinding and an MPS 3350 BK for processing Nigerian coal for kiln firing.

Thanks to the innovative vertical mill technology and carefully elaborated maintenance concepts, Gebr. Pfeiffer headquartered in Kaisers-lautern has now also been able to captivate Dangote Cement’s enthusiasm for the advanced Pfeiffer technology. This order is the first ever from Nigeria for the mill manufacturer.

The MVR mill featuring a total drive power of 4000 kW will be grinding 550 t/h of cement raw material to a fineness of 10 % R 90 µm. The MPS 3350 BK with a drive power of 1100 kW is designed for a throughput rate of 50-70 t/h and will grind Nigerian coal, optionally imported coal and/or pet coke, to a fineness of 12 % R 90 µm.

Gebr. Pfeiffer’s own staff will supervise erection and commissioning.

The order was placed by the Chinese General Contractor Sinoma International Engineering Co, Nanjing.
