(57) The invention discloses a flue gas desulfurization catalyst for active lime production and a preparation method thereof. Belongs to the technical field of inorganic new materials. The catalyst is composed of the following components: an active component A: a metal compound with high catalytic activity; the carrier B is a material with a large specific surface area and a pore structure; and the stabilizer C is an additive for improving the stability of the catalyst. The active component A is one or a compound of more of sodium vanadate, ammonium vanadate and copper vanadate. The carrier B is one or a compound of more of gamma-aluminum oxide, alpha-aluminum oxide, titanium dioxide and zeolite. Further, the stabilizer C is silicate, including but not limited to sodium silicate, lithium silicate and potassium silicate. The technical breakthrough provided by the invention has a potential important application prospect, and a new development opportunity is brought to the field of active lime production.
