Christian Pfeiffer receives large order for Kuching
In spring 2014, Christian Pfeiffer received the order to erect a turnkey cement grinding plant including silos and packing facility for Caha Mata Sarawak (CMS) in Kuching/Malaysia. The order at a total amount of about 36 million Euros comprises engineering, fabrication, and supply of the entire equipment including electrical and control equipment, installation and commissioning of the grinding plant as well as the complete construction work and layout of roads.
The grinding plant is designed for a capacity of 150 t/h (1 million t/a) for OPC with 3500 cm2/g (by Blaine). The delivery includes a 2-chamber ball mill with slide shoe bearing, size Ø 4.8 m x 15 m, in the latest technical design, equipped with a wear-resistant shell liner made of progressive lifters for the first grinding chamber, the latest intermediate diaphragm of the 4th generation with optimized center, a classifying lining in the second chamber, and the highly efficient separator QDK 248Z with filter system. Two 10 000-t silos with altogether four bulk loads for trucks, two big bag loading stations, and a packing and palletizing installation for truck loading with a capacity of 3000 bags/h complete the delivery. The specific energy demand of the entire grinding plant per ton of OPC is less than 40 kW/t.
The construction work in Malaysia started in July 2014, completion and commissioning are scheduled for late summer 2015.
